# 🎲 Pirate Camp

Pirate Camp is the casino zone of Cave of Fates.

It exists for entertainment, variance, and gold sink pressure.

Players come here to gamble gold, open chests, and use Daily Cards.

### What Pirate Camp is for

Pirate Camp is a safe-zone activity.

It does not replace gathering, crafting, or combat.

It gives players another way to spend gold between farming runs.

Core rules:

* all games are **player versus system**
* casino bets use **gold only**
* bets use **whole numbers only**

### What you can do at Pirate Camp

Pirate Camp is home to three high-variance systems:

* **Casino**: play Roulette, Blackjack, and Dice
* **Chests**: spend gold on reward boxes with rare drop upside
* **Daily Cards**: claim one free pick each day or buy extra picks

Use Pirate Camp when you want faster variance instead of steady farming.

### Chests

Chests let players trade gold for resources, consumables, cosmetics, and rare jackpots.

There are three chest tiers:

* **Bronze Chest**
* **Epic Chest**
* **Dragon Chest**

Chests are a gold sink with upside.

They feel rewarding, but they do not replace normal progression.

For drop details, costs, and reward tiers, see [Chests](/cave/chests.md).

### Daily Cards

Daily Cards add a small daily reward loop inside Pirate Camp.

Each board contains **12 cards**.

That means **4 random reward types** with **3 copies each**.

Players get **1 free pick every 24 hours**.

Players can also buy **extra picks** for **$3 each**.

Daily Cards can also award fragments and direct Module Cores.

For full rules and reward behavior, see [Daily Cards](/cave/daily-cards.md).

For the broader balance role, see [Economy](/cave/economy.md).

### Casino games

Pirate Camp includes three games:

* **Roulette**: low house edge and simple bets
* **Blackjack**: strong RTP with skill-based decisions
* **Dice**: highest variance and the worst long-term odds

### RTP and house edge

| Game      | RTP    | House edge | Notes                                 |
| --------- | ------ | ---------- | ------------------------------------- |
| Roulette  | 97.30% | 2.70%      | European wheel with a single zero     |
| Blackjack | 99.5%  | 0.5%       | Best odds with strong decision-making |
| Dice      | Varies | Varies     | Depends on bet type                   |

RTP means long-term average return.

An RTP of 97.3% means players get back about 97.3 gold per 100 gold wagered over time.

### Roulette

Roulette uses a European wheel with 37 pockets:

* numbers **1 to 36**
* one **0** pocket

That single zero creates the house edge.

#### Roulette bets

| Bet type        | Payout | RTP    |
| --------------- | ------ | ------ |
| Straight number | 35:1   | 97.30% |
| Red or black    | 1:1    | 97.30% |
| High or low     | 1:1    | 97.30% |
| Dozen           | 2:1    | 97.30% |
| Column          | 2:1    | 97.30% |

Roulette is easy to understand.

It is the cleanest option for players who want low-friction gambling with solid odds.

### Blackjack

Blackjack offers strong RTP in the casino.

It rewards player decisions more than pure luck.

#### Blackjack rules

| Feature           | Rule         |
| ----------------- | ------------ |
| Natural blackjack | 3:2 payout   |
| Dealer            | Hits soft 17 |
| Deck model        | 1 deck       |

RTP is **99.5%**.

Blackjack remains one of the most skill-driven casino games.

### Dice

Dice uses the sum of two six-sided dice.

Possible totals range from **2** to **12**.

`7` is neither high nor low.

High and Low bets lose on `7`.

RTP depends on the selected bet.

#### Dice distribution

| Total   | Ways |
| ------- | ---- |
| 2 or 12 | 1    |
| 3 or 11 | 2    |
| 4 or 10 | 3    |
| 5 or 9  | 4    |
| 6 or 8  | 5    |
| 7       | 6    |

#### Dice bets

| Bet           | Payout | RTP    | House edge |
| ------------- | ------ | ------ | ---------- |
| High (8–12)   | 1:1    | 83.33% | 16.67%     |
| Low (2–6)     | 1:1    | 83.33% | 16.67%     |
| Exact 2 or 12 | 5:1    | 16.67% | 83.33%     |
| Exact 3 or 11 | 2:1    | 16.67% | 83.33%     |
| Exact 4 or 10 | 3:2    | 20.83% | 79.17%     |
| Exact 5 or 9  | 3:2    | 27.78% | 72.22%     |
| Exact 6 or 8  | 6:5    | 30.56% | 69.44%     |
| Exact 7       | 5:6    | 30.56% | 69.44%     |

### How Pirate Camp fits the economy

Pirate Camp is an intentional gold sink.

It removes part of the gold won elsewhere in the game.

That helps keep the economy healthier over time.

Casino gold usually comes from:

* farming and dailies
* chest gold drops
* player trading profits

Casino losses reduce excess gold without blocking progression systems.

For the bigger picture, see [Economy](/cave/economy.md).

### When players use it

Most players visit Pirate Camp for one of three reasons:

* to spend surplus gold
* to chase short-term wins
* to take a break from farming loops

It is optional content.

Progression does not depend on casino play.

For world placement, see [World](/cave/world.md).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://cave-of-fates.gitbook.io/cave/pirate-camp.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
